Technical information

2009. 12. 3.

For the insulation of 6500 m2 attic floor, 12cm thick rock wool is to be used. 10 cm thick insulation will be glued to the roof and fixed mechanically with plugs, on top of which a self adhesive waterproof layer will be added, followed by a layer of chips. Besides the facade, the windows and doors are also being replaced, wherever the householder gave permission for this and took on the additional costs that this incurs. 90% of the 5630m2 of window surface is being replaced with modern, five chamber, UPVC windows and balcony doors with an overall heat transfer coefficient [1] value of 1.36. Fenstherm will be delivering and installing a total of 1800 Panorama 3000 window and door profiles.

1500 m2 of solar panels will be placed on the 6500 m2 roof. 125 individual 6 × 2m, 302 kilogramme Tisun boards will stand on exactly 1000 stilts, fixed to the roof beams. The 100m3 insulated watertank, which is part of the system, will be built into Főtáv’s premises in the basement. In order to create space for the tank, one of the two boiler rooms was removed and the old and new systems were linked up. As a result of this, 45-55% less energy will be used yearly to produce the daily 80m3 of hot water, with a predicted saving of 243 tonnes of  CO2 emissions.
